Gary,

The stuff in the log file shows that the bank did send back a response  
to the request, and it certainly looks like it's got a significant  
amount of content.  It will take me a while to actually parse it, but  
your thought that you need to create the securities first is probably  
correct, especially if none of these are purchase transactions, just  
dividends, for example.
