I don't bother doing it myself, but what has been suggested in the past, 
I think,  is to have a virtual/dummy/holding account into which you 
enter your transactions.  Then when your statement arrives, transfer the 
amount to your real account to match with the import.

It depends how much extra hassle you are prepared to endure.
