[Kmymoney] Can't create new file on network drive

I just installed OpenSUSE 12.1 and KMyMoney 4.6.0. I go through all the 
new file setup steps and try to put the file in a directory on an smb 
server. It tells me "Either the currently selected file exists or the 
selected directory does not exist." Neither of those is in fact the 
case. I can see the new directory in Dolphin and it's empty.

Now what? I'm stuck at square one.
