[Kmymoney] Hang during "Open database" (PostgreSQL)

Hi all,

Problem: Hang during "Open database" (PostgreSQL)
Kmymoney, Version 4.5.90
OS: Mac OS 10.6.7
Installation: Macports (kmymoney4-devel)

"Save as Database" works well (with host name '127.0.0.1' - the 'localhost' option does not work well with macports).
Attempt to "open database" results in a hang. 
I can send a backtrace (205 KB, by mac OS) if needed.
Repetition: A second try results in a message stating that the database is in use.
On choosing the option "open anyway", there is another hang. However, now "drkonqi" starts, promising to give a backtrace. 
"drkonqi" fails to deliver on its promise. Instead it joins kmm in hanging.
