The dialog about the database being in use is normal after a crash. It is
designed to notify users if the database is already open, since multi-user
scenarios are not supported. Since you never get to logout in a crash, it
thinks the database is still in use.
The crash however, is another matter. It may be related to something that was
already reported. Do you have a backtrace of the crash? That would help
identify if it is related to the existing issue, or a new one.
