This was posted to the kde-doc-english list, so I'm forwarding for the
OP.
Janice - Happy New Year, and thanks for trying KMyMoney. You say you
are getting an error message - but you didn't actually include that
message in your email. If you add that, it might help figure out what
the problem is. Other information you should provide is the version of
KMyMoney you are using and where you got it (which Linux Distribution
are you using).

Good morning,
I am relatively new to Lenux and after attempts in the past, I am
trying to upload my Quicken data into KMyMoney. I am not much of a
techy. See, I'm not even sure I spelled that correctly. ;-)
Anyway, while trying to import my quicken file, "Dorothy.qif", I am
getting the following information/error message.
However, on the bottom of the screen, it is showing 2% complete and
looks like it is still trying to complete the action "Importing QIF..."
Also, when I click OK on the message, it will not disappear.
Do you think that it is indeed still trying to complete the import or
should I abort the action? Should I try it again? Any suggestions are
welcome.
BTW, I started this import hours ago so I think that it is hung up.
"i Unable to add account: Account has invalid type"
I appreciate any assistance that you can provide. Happy New Year!
Best Regards,
Janice
