Hi Allan,
if I remember correctly some people have already made their point on this and
miss the feature of freely adjusting each column's width according to their
need.
It is no must but would be great to have this if implementation is not too
much of an effort.

I'm using KMM4.5.3 /KDE 4.6.

In ledger view I can only reduce the window to a point where all the columns
with numbers remain fully apparent whereas the Detail column is being
truncated to 38 characters or so (no line feed forced).

In Home view the behavior is similar with the advantage that the far most left
column (say Asset Accounts) will be displayed in more than one line thus not
cutting off any of the text.

In Report view I can e. g. reduce the total window width down to the point to
have the left text column still fully apparent plus a maximum of 5 month
columns. Whatever else there is on the right is not shown.

Having said that I should like to join those who would like a change.
