Just a little more info from my end which may/may not help - please
ignore if of no interest.

In KMM 4.5.3 When doing the first migration of QIF files and stripping
the opening balance entries, I had manually created the accounts with
the correct starting dates then imported the data.

Hence the accounts started with the correct date but the "generated
accounts" from old closed accounts had a starting date of the import
date.

Updating this to KMM 4.6.0 did not change anything.

When I loaded a new HDD with KMM 4.6.0 I had to create 1 account
manually to be able to start importing.

I then imported all accounts without first manually creating the
remaining accounts.

The first manually created account was ignored by the importing process
and subsequently deleted.

All imported accounts show the correct starting date for the account
when looking in the "Edit Account" page.

The "generated accounts" from old closed accounts show the starting
date for the account as the import date same as previously.

Knowing this makes it easy to Edit that "generated account", adjust with
a dummy transaction and close it.

A very slight difference in the Ledgers between the two import methods
is that the totally automatic import into new KMM 4.6.0 had, in a couple
of cases, slightly more info in the payee description line than the
earlier import.

The difference was really insignificant but still a difference for the
same QIF file and is of no concern.

Regards

Peter
