Question about file last modified timestamp

I just opened a .kmy file (actually .xml in this case) which was last  
saved some weeks ago, and File/File Information... showed "Last  
modified on" as the time I opened the file, not the time it was last  
saved.  I have not yet looked at the code to see where this gets  
updated, but I would expect opening the file to not update this value.

However, the file does show as modified (* afer the file name in the  
title bar of the main window.)   Should perhaps the File modified info  
be split into separate "file modified" and "data modified" fields?  If  
you close KMM without saving the file, the file will still have the  
older modified date, although I suppose it will always be updated as  
soon as you open the file.

Related question - is there any (easy) way to determine what changes  
have been made?  I'm assuming/guessing that it it related to overdue  
schedules, but I haven't yet saved and then just compared the two files.
