The credit card accounts are liability accounts. Their balance is usually shown
with inverted sign. A positive balance of a liability account usually means you
owe that amount. Now transferring funds from a checking account to that credit
card account will lower the amount you owe thus the balance decreases. This is
by design and not a bug.
