            Bug ID: 510379
Summary: Suggested amounts for reconciliation are sometimes
                    wrong
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kmymoney
      Version First 5.2.1
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kmymoney-devel at kde.org
          Reporter: jswami at pamho.net
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When reconciling, the number suggested for the final balance is sometimes
wrong. I've seen a suggestion for the starting balance instead of the ending
one, and also a suggestion for today's balance rather than the balance for the
date specified in the dialogue box. (In the previous version of KMM I never saw
this.) If I'm not mistaken, in a reconciliation a few days back I saw the
reconciliation dialogue give "0" for the starting balance when in fact there
was a positive balance.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to a ledger.
2. Click "Reconcile."
3. Choose a reconciliation date before today.
4. Notice the amounts in the dialogue box.

OBSERVED RESULT
Amounts suggested are sometimes right, sometimes wrong.

EXPECTED RESULT
Amounts should be consistently right.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: KMM 5.2.1 (Fedora project flatpak) in Fedora Linux 42 running Gnome 48.
Wayland.
