The AppImage is provided as a preview version by the CI/CD system of KDE. If it
works on some but no on other distros then this is somewhat out of scope
(because way too much work for the small dev team to verify it on each and
every distro). The same applies for flatpak or snap: we are not in a position
to add yet another item to support. Hope you understand. We are happy to work
with and support new people working on these things, though.
