Jesse, you may confuse lip service with being rude, and probably this attitude
is the cause that kMyMoney is a dangerous piece of software. Also you may
confuse FOSS with delivering crap.
kMyMoney gives itself the title "The BEST Pesonal Finance Manager" which untrue
and dangerous! More than 2 years since the last update, completely outdated
documentation, basically every dialog has failures, completely wrong charts,
online rates updates not working, and that an accounting software produces so
wrong reports is schocking. This needs to be labeled as "unmaintained
experimental undocumented and beta software for people who are happy to
experiment with dual book accounting. Everything else cannot be responsibly
said about this crap!
I wished this to be different, but after two years and tens of hours of
researching, trying, contributing this is the sad status and luring people in
with the completely misleading title and website is a shame!
You cannot trust any of the reports, sums, lists.
For two years I ran kmymoney parallel to xls and kmymoney is so terribly wrong
that i am shocked! 50% higher sums which definitely are complete nonsense!
Your attitude is the problem, the lip service, and agreement to accept crap is
delivered and wrongly labeled because it is made by volunteers!
