That means, that they are still there, but they might not be shown for some
reason. KMyMoney provides a few filters that can hide transactions. One thing
you could do is to reset the whole configuration. Here's how to do that

1. Exit KMyMoney
2. Find the file kmymoneyrc in your home directory (possibly in
~/.config/kmymoney but maybe a different location for your version of it).
3. Rename it so that you keep it (e.g. add -ori or something similar). 
4. Start KMyMoney while providing the name of your current file as argument
5. Check if transactions become visible.
6. Let us know what happens.
