I just tried to backup a kmymoney file on a virtual Windows 10 guest system to
a folder provided by the (Linux) host (\VBOXSRV\<USER>\kmymoney), which worked
fine. kmymoney uses a command line tool to perform the backup

   'copy /b /y <source> + nul <destination> ' 

which means that if this command can be executed outside of kmymoney, there
should be no problem with kmymoney.
