I don't see much use for this.  The display is just the ledger for the Payee,
so all transactions for that Payee are displayed.  Is there any strong downside
to seeing more transactions than you are directly interested in?  If you can
limit the display to a specified time period, I can see a problem if you forget
you've done that, and then wonder where the rest of your transactions have
gone.  Remember, the ledger is the same for regular accounts, categories, and
payees, so a solution would apply to all.
