Just to be compulsive, please confirm that the "OBSERVED RESULT" and "EXPECTED
RESULT" in the original post were switched.  I think that may have been what
Thomas was responding to.  Also, if you select "Cleared" does it still only
show the unmarked transactions?

One other strange thought - are you absolutely certain that you have any marked
transactions?  (either cleared or reconciled?)  If you have the dropdown set to
show all, and you change a transaction from unmarked to cleared, does it
disappear from the ledger display?
