Well, this option is meant to be active only during entry of new transactions
during reconciliation. The description does not mention that, but it behaves
that  way since the feature made it on board. I traced that back at least 12
years in version 3.95.0. A proper way would be to enhance the description in
the dialog and  the manual to make that clear.

Or should we change the feature? Opinions, suggestions please.
