Ann,

I would add that each time you save the changes, KMyMoney creates a backup
file in the same folder where your original .kmm file was stored. You will
see up to 10 such files by default, each with an additional suffix in its
name, e.g. .kmy.~1, .kmy~2, etc. It’s highly unlikely that all of those
files would go missing, unless the whole folder was deleted.
