It sounds like the change in what is displayed depends on including/excluding a
category, or in this case a split from the transaction, and whether that's
right or wrong might depend on what the report is trying to show.  Which exact
report are you using, and do different transaction reports have the same
behavior?  Also, on the report configuration dialog, on the Rows/Columns tab,
does changing the value of the "Hide Split Transaction Details" checkbox make
any difference
