After experiencing multiple problems with the master build, I reverted back to
version 5.1.2, as suggested during these threads, which has helped a lot.
For editing the multiple transactions, I can change the transaction status for
multiple transactions (possibly re-assign the transactions to a different
accounts, but didn't try that), but am unable to do tag
assignment/re-assignments for multiple transactions.
