We do have a report for that situation, which I have to admit, never saw
myself and I am using this feature very often.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426511 is the link to the bug report in
question. Do you see anything in common with your case (data)?

In fact, I have tried to duplicate the reported problem over the weekend to no
avail. I am not sure, if the all-caps and mixed mode may have an effect. I have
to try that.

Please make sure to keep backups of your data. KMyMoney does have a feature to
keep the last n versions that you have save automatically. That is a life saver
in case anything goes wrong.

Are you able to duplicate the problem? If so, I would be interested in any details
you can provide.
