As Thomas said, there have been numerous enhancements and fixes to the csv
importer since 5.0.3, which is a year and a half old.  5.0.8 is the current
stable version, but I don't know how easy it is to upgrade with Debian 10
Buster.  Debian 11 Bullseye and Debian Sid both seem to have 5.0.8 available. 
You might also try an appimage version from https://kmymoney.org/appimage.html.
