Bug ID: 424402
Summary: When entering a check/account statement number using
the numeric keypad, insert '.' instead of ','
Product: kmymoney
Version: 4.8.4
Platform: Other
OS: All
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: kmymoney-devel at kde.org
Reporter: ralf.habacker at freenet.de
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
When entering bank statements several times using the keyboard, using the
numeric keypad helps to save time during input. Unfortunately, when entering a
bank statement number, e.g. 20.1 for a 20-sheet 1 statement, you will be slowed
down because there is no '.' on the numerical block and you have to use the
normal keyboard.
It would therefore be helpful if a '.' were inserted when entering a statement
number via the ',' key on the numeric keypad.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. start kmymoney
2. open a kmymoney file
3. enter a new transaction
4. enter the number field and try to enter '20.1' by using the numeric keypad.
OBSERVED RESULT
Entering a '.' is not possible using the numeric keypad.
EXPECTED RESULT
Entering a '.' should be possible using the numeric keypad.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 10
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Account statement numbers can also be entered via the input dialog for planned
bookings, which would also have to be adapted.
