The AppImage version of KMyMoney appears to need to have the "kio" package
included in it. I installed the "kio" package with Synaptic and that made it
possible to download stock prices. I am using Mint19.3.

In a sense, the ability to download stock prices has been "solved", provided
that the package "kio" is installed manually as a separate action.
