I have tried build #161 appimage and it does not work.  Changes were supposedly
made in build #162 but the appimage failed to be captured.  I have been waiting
for a newer build that has a completed appimage, but all builds from 162 to 165
failed.
I can't test the issues until a completed appimage is available.

The remaining issues are:

2) usage issue (we wait for feedback from original poster)
3) I don't know what that should be since I cannot duplicate it
4) wishlist item: make tags a plugin which can be disabled
