This sounds possibly related to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404753
(about the display not updating in a report after editing multiple transactions
to change the memo field.)  Does the correct value show if you switch to some
different view (say reports or payees) and then back to the investments view? 
Or change the ledger to a different account and then back?
