Why do you say it looks unmaintained?  If you followed the mailing list and
bugzilla, you would know there it lots of activity, including plans for a 4.8.1
release, likely the last KDE4 release other than bug fixes, and lots of
activity towards a 5.0 (KDE Frameworks) release.
