Bug ID: 365817
Summary: OFX Import Ignores Account Opening Date
Product: kmymoney
Version: unspecified
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: General
Assignee: kmymoney-devel at kde.org
Reporter: Brendan at CoupeWare.com
When I import transactions from Citibank they ignore the requested date range
(last update, today minus and pick a date) and send everything they have
available. This account was opened recently but Citibank has historical data
from the beginning of the year that they send each time I import the data.
These transactions are already in the old credit card so they need to be
ignored.
The opening date for the new credit card account is set correctly. I can not
manually add a transaction prior to the opening date. The OFX import process
appears to ignore the account opening date and imports over 150 transactions
prior to the opening date.
I think the OFX import process should reject all transactions prior tot he
opening date of the account. When this happens there should be a line added to
the "Statement Stats" window with the number of transactions that were rejected
because they were before the opening date of the account.
I'm running KMM 4.8 compiled from source on Fedora 24.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new account that has OFX data available
2. Set the opening date for the account to later than the date of the oldest
transactions
3. Import the OFX data and you will see transactions imported that are dated
prior to the account opening date
Actual Results:
Transactions are imported that are older than the account
Expected Results:
Transactions older than the account are rejected, similar to the behavior when
entering transactions manually.
