A few questions:
a) where did you read that one of our users uses 0% rated VAT?
b) which version are you using exactly (See Help/About KMyMoney)?
The 'current stable' might be ambiguous.
As a side note, I saw the same behavior in the current development version but
I am not sure if the check needs to be present in the category dialog to
prevent some division by zero at another spot in the application. I will check
into that during the next couple of days. Please feel free to trigger me on
the mailing list in case you don't hear back.
