KMyMoney in general follows KDE global settings for date and currency formats.
Please check your KDE system settings and report back. You can access them from
within KMyMoney using the "Settings/KDE language settings..." menu.

Currently, this sounds more like a possible upstream problem to me, but I might
be mistaken.
