            Bug ID: 344436
Summary: Trying to display a transaction prior to the do not
                    display filter should give warning
           Product: kmymoney4
           Version: git master
          Platform: Compiled Sources
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kmymoney-devel at kde.org
          Reporter: ostroffjh at users.sourceforge.net

If I do a general search, the results can include transactions prior to the
date specified in the configuration as "Do not display transactions prior to."
If I double click one of those transactions, KMM displays the ledger for that
account, but selects an apparently random transaction (or perhaps the last
transaction previously selected for that account." This is very disconcerting,
until you realize why it couldn't display the requested transaction. In this
case, there should be some sort of warning, perhaps a popup: "Selected
transaction prior to configured filter date."

I don't know if there should just be an "OK" button - and if it should go back
to the search results or go to the ledger anyway, or if the user should then
have a choice of 1) go back to search results, 2) go to ledger anyway, 3) go to
the "Configure KMyMoney" dialog to change the filter date.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Do a transaction search
2. Double click a transaction prior to the "Do not display transactions prior
to" configuration date.
3.

Actual Results:
Ledger for appropriate account is displayed, but the requested transaction is
not selected, and is not even displayed.

Expected Results:
At minimum, some sort of warning or notice as to why the transaction is not
displayed.
