First, even though this discussion has switched from the bug to just  
the mailing list, since this bug is closed, any finally relevant notes

Done.  However, I'm curious what the OP searched for.  (I wonder if  
there is any reasonable way to create a useful index for the manual.  I  
don't think it's a standard part of the docbook process.  I'll try  
bringing that up on the documentation writers list.)

It is also important to note that these autosave backups (on the Global  
tab of the Configure KMyMoney dialog) are different from the explicit  
backups done from the File/Backup menu command.
