I went through the various  items and had no problems.

However I'll just mention I saw something a few days ago that reminded me of
the last sentence in Comment #3.  I was displaying the ledger, but attempting
to change to a different view, the view icon responded, but the ledger was
still displayed.  I think I had to go back to ledger view and select a
different account, when all reverted to normal.

I was in the thick of something else at the time so didn't investigate further.

I think it's safe to close this, and wait....
