I've been looking a lot at this and the crash looks pretty strange everything
similar (like BUG 160679) is caused by QDomNode objects which outlive the
QDomDocument object that created them. But this is not true in our case since
we use the same QDomDocument object to create all elements as the one used to
obtain the XML string.

So any ideas would be welcome.
