Jack,

I've not looked at this in any depth, but, when a new investment account 
is created, there is presently no way to specify a particular existing 
account as the 'default' brokerage account.  So I don't think it would 
be a good idea to combine it with this, or any other, bug fix.

I would suggest raising a wish-list item.
