I'm not sure of its exact name!  But, Settings->Configure 
KMM->Ledger->Display then uncheck 'Show transaction form'.

That allows editing the transaction on its line in the ledger, rather 
than using the transaction form.  Hopefully, you'll find that works 
correctly.
