Have a look at http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=111590.

There is a little information there, pointing to the location of the present
templates, but which should be (at least here)
/usr/share/kde4/apps/kmm_printcheck.

It also mentions -
"How to trigger the check printing?

After selecting a transaction in the ledger use the 'Transaction'->'Print
check' action."

You could try experimenting, presumably using blank paper initially!
