[Kmymoney-devel] Error installing on MINT

Hello

I've installed kMyMoney after reading some critics/reviews as the best
software for Microsoft Money users that are slowly switching to Linux
environment.
I've used the software, created accounts and movements and, even though it
wasn't a real test drive, I congratulate the developer team for this great
software.

Here is the problem that originated this contact.
I'm running Linux 3.2 distribution Mint 13 Maya (using the MATE desktop
environment). I've installed kmymoney from the Software Manager App and it
run ok (I've changed some settings on the program to use Portuguese
currency, decimal and other minor preferences). Little afterwards I've had
a major PC breakdown (energy related) that burned my mainboard.
After changing it and setting up the computer again, I've tried to run the
kmymoney again but had the following message displayed on the notification
window (it is in portuguese but, roughly translated means):
"The monetary decimal symbol is not correctly defined in KDE System
Configuration, Country Language Configuration. Please select a reasonable
value and restart KMyMoney."

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing. I've changed my settings to act
as UK, US, brasilian PT and portuguese PT (the one I want). Logged in and
out, installing again, but without success. The message keeps showing
whenever I run it.

I'm a linux newbie and find this very weird since it had already run before
(plus, even though I changed the board, I didn't had to install linux again
and, apart from some minor folder issues, it seems to be running smoothly).

Would appreciate some help on installing or some pointers on where I can
find this help.

Best regards
Ricardo Silva
