Hi,
I just saw the following on IRC in channel #kmymoney:
[05.02.2012 00:06] --> Dr_Frankenbox has joined this channel
(~europa_fa at ip24-252-12-137.om.om.cox.net).
[05.02.2012 00:06] <Dr_Frankenbox> I have a quick user question, if somebody's
up for it
[05.02.2012 00:10] <Dr_Frankenbox> ok, in case somebody afk comes back and
sees it later, here it is:
[05.02.2012 00:11] <Dr_Frankenbox> after importing a set of accounts from
Gnucash and entering some new transactions, my main checking account starts
out with a nonzero balance, even though there is no "opening balance"
transaction
[05.02.2012 00:12] <Dr_Frankenbox> if I edit the account and set an opening
balance, it adds on to this value
[05.02.2012 00:13] <Dr_Frankenbox> is there anything I can do to get rid of
this "phantom opening balance", or do I just have to use a normal opening
balance transaction to adjust it to the balance I want?
[05.02.2012 00:16] <Dr_Frankenbox> update: every save appears to add on the
same value again
[05.02.2012 00:17] <Dr_Frankenbox> so even if I try to adjust it with the
opening balance transaction, I have to change it after every save
[05.02.2012 00:25] <Dr_Frankenbox> so. . . closing and restarting the app
fixed it
[05.02.2012 00:25] <Dr_Frankenbox> that's a very odd bug
Unfortunately, Dr_Frankenbox already left and we have no info about the
version he is using. I have no idea why that could be. There must be a
transaction referencing the account somewhere. Would an anonymous file help at
all? I think it should contain that 'phantom' transaction.
