If, prior to import, you have already created the appropriate accounts, 
then you should not have this problem.

If, on the other hand, you are expecting KMM to create files during 
import, then much depends on the structure of the qif file.  It is 
certainly possible, if the qif file is incorrectly formatted, that file 
creation can go wrong.  It is also possible that the qif file is 
correctly formatted, but that KMM is not handling it correctly, with 
such files being only loosely defined.

It would help if you are able to provide a file that shows the problem, 
of course with private information disguised.  Who provided the files?
