Don,

First, after the upgrade, when you run KMyMoney and open your existing .kmy
file, is everything OK or not?  Can you clarify what you mean by "loads OK and
displays account total but previous accounts now disappeared" since if the
account total balance is OK on the home page (is that what you mean?) then the
account information is there - it is just somehow being  hidden.

Regarding the ofx import problem, can you specify in more detail exactly how
you tried to import the ofx file, and which folder is empty?  Also confirm
whether or not you get any error message.  Regarding Comment #1, after you
answer these questions, we can give you more detailed instructions about what
to try.  (Also confirm what application you use to install and delete any
packages: Synaptic, Ubutnu Software Center, something else?)
