I vote for doing this before the string freeze (15.07.2011). BTW the fact that 
we are releasing betas from trunk means that no more development should be 
done in trunk? If so I would suggest branching 4.6 after the first beta is 
released.

I know about it :) by watching the commits and it also had a related bug.
