Sorry I did not get to this sooner. I just tried with SVN current as of
2011-05-22 with the QPSQL7 driver. The category selection I make is honored for
me in the report. 

I doubt it is a QMYSQL specific problem, but it is worth looking into. Tony,
can you test?
