I'm afraid this is outside my small area of expertise, so I resorted to Google,
and found quite a few references, which suggest it is a language problem.

If your problem is confined to KMyMoney, then I would go back to my
recommendation to update.  Apart from the benefit of recent bug fixes, there
has been work recently on French language translations.

If that doesn't help, let us know and we'll see if another team can help.
