Exactly. This is outside incoming going directly into an investment.
It isn't earnings from the investment, nor does it go into an
intermediate account first. While I could create an intermediate
account and enter every transaction twice, this would be a pain, and it
doesn't reflect the reality of what is occurring financially.
Additionally, the investment account is available for on-line data
import, which I'd like to be able to take advantage of.
What I am doing at the moment is using an equity account because KMM
won't allow me to use an income account. It's technically wrong, but my
reports are right, I don't have to enter things twice, and I can use the
import feature.
I'd much rather do this from an income account, as this would accurately
reflect the transaction.
