Summary: auto increment check numbers also numbers deposits
           Product: kmymoney4
           Version: 4.5
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kmymoney-devel at kde.org
        ReportedBy: bill at awmach.org

Version: 4.5 (using KDE 4.4.5)
OS: Linux

This is not a new problem with kmymoney, but I didn't see anything in the bug
list. Incrementing check numbers works fine. The problem is that it also wants
to assign a check number to a deposit which then messes up the check numbers.
The check register also has an annoying tendency to always start up as a
deposit, FWIW. It would be much nicer to have it default to withdrawal.

Also, if you erase the check number and then enter the split editor, it puts
the check number in again when you leave the split editor.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Enter a deposit with auto increment of check numbers enabled.

Actual Results:
Check numbers get incremented on deposits

Expected Results:
Either keep track of deposits separately and increment their number apart from
check numbers or don't auto number deposits at all.

I haven't tried the insert transaction type since I'd prefer to just show check
numbers like the settings entry checkbox says.
