To clarify this even further:

The template files state their source as

  "Converted using xea2kmt by Thomas Baumgart from GnuCash sources"

So the origin is at our friends over at GnuCash. I don't know if they have
something for the English folks in Canada in the meantime. If they do, we can
certainly convert their files again into our format. That xea2kmt tool must be
somewhere on my drive ;)
