Hi Ron,
This was a suggestion I gave to a previous user having the same problem:
"The KDE on Windows guys who made that installer told me that there
should be a kdewin-installer.log file near the installer or in the
install destination folder. Do you have such a file? If yes could you
look into it to see what went wrong?"
We haven't heard from him since then. Since I have successfully ran
the installed on Windows 7 with UAC disabled I would suggest turning
of UAC see http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/12/30/how-to-disable-and-turn-off-uac-in-windows-7/
I don't have other ideas than that without seeing an error log if
there is such a log.
