Is a negative dividend valid?  I have a file where a dividend is received and 
correctly transferred to the brokerage account.  Then that same amount is used 
to fund a purchase, and is shown as a reinvestment with negative value.  So, 
in the brokerage account, all looks OK, but in the investment account, both 
items appear as positive values.  On selecting them, however, one appears as 
positive and one as negative.

So, the transactions appear to have been processed with the expected outcome, 
apart from a missing negative sign.
